We were contacted by the homeowner for our paint removal services Glasgow, and were tasked with removing years of paint from this sandstone window surround. Our specialist chemical paint softener was used to loosen and soften the multiple layers of paint, before lowering the pressure, and upping the temperature on our pressure washer. The pressure was kept reasonably low so as not to damage the sandstone, and multiple applications of chemical were required due to the many layers of paint (6 in all!)

The windows were protected so no damage was caused to the frames or glass. We also cover the ground to collect all the debris and loose/softened paint during the paint removal process.

We provided access with our own scaffold tower and made sure everything was tidied up before we left. Customer was ecstatic, and can enjoy looking at the front of her house, the way it SHOULD look.

Our paint removal service is also helpful if you own an older property, with cement style render which has been painted and are finding the paint failing and repairs are needed. our service can remove the paint so any repairs can be made to the original render and have a fresh surface to repaint.

We use a biodegradable chemical to soften the paint, then our super heated machines to gently remove the paint from the surface without damaging the substrate.

Commercial Window Cleaning – Edinburgh

This site was part of some new build student accommodation projects that are being built in Edinburgh. We were asked by a large contractor to clean this site along with some other works. This site only required a light rinse-down of all brickwork, but alongside those works, we were asked to carry out a deep clean to all window frames to remove any mortar, mastic & stickers. We removed any staining on the frames by hand, then we used our Pure Water Fed Pole window cleaning system to safely and effectively clean all the glass from the ground. Leaving the windows gleaming! IKEA Glasgow – Chewing Gum Removal

Safe and effective chewing gum removal

Chewing gum is a huge problem at commercial properties and when a new manager had taken over the large IKEA store in Braehead they wanted the front of the store nice and fresh. We were asked to provide our chewing gum removal Glasgow service and give the tarmac area all the way along the front of the store a thorough clean. There was 13 years worth of chewing gum here, so you can imagine the task at hand! The biggest issue we faced straight away was that the tarmac was very soft due to its age so our normal procedure would have damaged the tarmac further (another company had used a jet wash and damaged the tarmac) So we chose a different approach by using a low pressure steam dry steam machine. We worked from early evening, through the night, so as not to disrupt the customers of this very busy store. After the gum was removed, we gave the whole area a washdown to bring the tarmac back to how it should look, and give all the IKEA customers a better shopping experience.

Render Cleaning – Edinburgh

Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh asked us to give the render cleaning on the main building and sports centre, especially to remove the green algae staining that had covered a lot of the white render. As you can see from some of the pictures, there was a lot of area to cover and some of the access was difficult, but with the use of specialist access equipment, our knowledge and experience we were able to get the job done, within the timescale for the client and bring the render back to “as new”.

Most render we come across has red staining which is the most common. This is a form of algae and can be treated and removed with our softwashing service in Glasgow. Most people think they need to paint over this staining, but painting render can be a big mistake and cause costly problems further down the line. We can also remove other types of staining: Green algae/Black mould/soot/wood staining using the same process.

We use a subtle softwash cleaning solution applied to the render via low pressure pumps and soft bristled brushes so there is absolutely no risk of damage. We then wash the render down with super heated water from our adjustable machines which removes all the staining which leave your render clean and looking like new.
